How it works
How to use it.
- Pick the month and the AD bank where the foreign money lands. For platform payouts (Skydo, Wise, Razorpay and similar), that is the bank that receives the payout; confirm with it.
- Add every export invoice dated in that month for that bank, with an exchange rate so the form shows the rupee total. Use your bank's convention, or the rate you used for GST on the invoice date.
- Fix anything listed under "Still needed", then download the PDF.
- Sign and date Part 4 and file it within 30 days after the month ends.
Good to know.
- Leave Form No. blank unless your bank gives you one.
- Part 4 shows the earliest realisation date: 9 months from the invoice date, or 12 months if invoiced in rupees.
- Some banks want their own template or an invoice-wise annexure. The Excel download covers the annexure.
- Invoices dated before 1 October 2026 don't need an EDF.

FAQ · 05 questions
Quick answers.
Is this the official EDF format?
It follows the layout of the form annexed to the FEMA (Export and Import of Goods and Services) Regulations, 2026. A service exporter fills Parts 1, 2B and 4. Some banks have their own template or cover letter, so ask your branch whether it accepts the RBI layout.
Do I file one EDF per invoice?
No. One EDF covers all export invoices raised in a month for one AD bank. It is due within 30 days after that month ends.
Which exchange rate should I use?
The regulations don't prescribe one. Use your bank's convention if it has one, otherwise the rate you used for GST on the invoice date, and keep a note of its source. The "Reference rate" button fills the ECB reference rate for that date as a starting point.
Is my data stored?
No. Your PAN, invoices and amounts stay in your browser. If you tick "Save my details", they are kept only in this browser so you can reuse them next month. We only receive your email and bank name when you download.
Does edffiling.in file the EDF with my bank?
No. This is a document generator. You review the form, sign it and send it to your bank yourself. You remain the declarant.
